Exciting things are coming in 2023!

I'm so excited for the new year! I have lots of plans and secret projects in the works already... First off, thank you so much to my patrons for supporting me through 2022 and making it possible for me to release not one, but three books this year. (I still don't quite know how that happened, but I'm glad it did!) I am incredibly grateful to all of you for your support and encouragement. Thank you!

Second, tomorrow (December 31) is release day for How Ocean Merlani Stole their Navigator: A Strange Space Novel! You can get your copy in print and ebook from Amazon and Barnes & Noble, or in the signed paperback-and-swag set directly from me! Check out this page on my website for all the links.

I'm also doing two livestreams on my Instagram (@KatieSilverwings) on New Year's Eve at 6PM and 8PM (US Central time)! I'll be reading the prologue and first chapter of How Ocean Merlani Stole their Navigator, as well as doing a bit of a Q&A session about the book and my other projects. I hope to see you there!

Third, I am thrilled to announce that in 2023, my wonderful patrons will get to read a new short story from me every month rather than just in between longer novels! The first of these Patreon-exclusive short stories is my New Year's gift to my patrons. I'll be releasing it on Sunday, January 1st! A Mystery, Unsolved features Ocean Merlani and their siblings Storm Melbryl and Sky Miradyn (shown here) as mischievous kittens who lead their poor adoptive father, George Barker, on a bit of a wild goose chase. (If you haven't read the previous Patreon-exclusive short story The View From a Distance, check it out! It also features George and a somewhat-older kitten Ocean.) I am, as you might have guessed, looking forward to seeing what y'all think of this one. It's one of my mother's favorites!

Stay tuned for the cover reveal and posting schedule, coming on Monday. I won't give too much away just yet, but let's just say that the people who become Ocean's professors went on a lot of adventures when they were younger...
