The low gardens by the riverside have always been among Toreval’s favorite places in City-on-the-River. There’s always something sweet-smelling blooming on the archways of the various terraces leading down to the wide stone paths which run along the riverbank as it winds through the middle of the city. Among the terraces, too, there are many lovely shaded courtyards amidst the plants where one can sit and watch the people passing by and the bright-colored drama of the slim-winged water skimmer lizards diving to catch fish from the current.
