Westberg Institute for Faith Community Nursing 30th Anniversary Signature Quilt

This quilted wall hanging was made as part of the 30th Anniversary celebrations at the 30th annual Westberg Symposium on Faith Community Nursing in 2016. I was asked to create a community-focused piece drawing on the organization's history and logo which would include the names of the nurses, staff members, and associates involved in the specialty practice of Faith Community Nursing. The piece would also commemorate the change of the organization's name from the International Parish Nurse Resource Center to the Westberg Institute for Faith Community Nursing.

Over the course of a year, I collected more than three hundred signatures on pieces of colored cotton cloth. These were then hand-embroidered onto a black backing cloth to create a crazy quilt inspired by stained glass windows and the nursing pins donated to the project from various affiliated organizations.
